We are open seven days a week, 10am to 5:30pm in the summer, 10am to 5pm in the winter.

+ All customers must be able to swim at least 25 metres, and not be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
+ Anyone under 16, must be accompanied by an adult (One adult per child under 16).
+ Minimum age is 8 yrs, subject to adult's experience.
+ All customers must provide us with some form of identity.

For more than 4 weeks cancellation notice, you'll receive a 50% refund of your booking.

For less than 4 weeks cancellation notice, you'll receive no refund of your booking.

HIRING PADDLEBOARDS & KAYAKS

£20 per person, per hour for both paddleboards and kayaks. This price will not vary on tandem equipment. (1 person = £20)

The paddleboard/kayak and paddle, a buoyancy aid, a wetsuit (if needed), basic instruction, insurance, and use of our lockers, showers, toilet and changing rooms.



No – general hire is first come, first served. You may need to wait during peak summer periods.

Yes, for groups of 6 or more, up to 4 days in advance. The price is still £20 per person per hour, and full price will be taken upon booking. This will be refunded if we get in contact to say that the weather conditions are unsafe.

Swimwear and a proof of identity- which we hold onto for the duration of the session, and return it to you at the end.

Valid forms of ID- Driving licence, credit card, student ID card, or passport.


Under 8 years: If they can swim, they can go out in a kayak with a competent and confident guardian

8-16 years: They can be in their own vessel, but will need to be with a guardian at all times on the water (1:1 guardian to child ratio)

16+: They can go out on the water on their own

Yes, bad weather such as high winds, heavy rain, fog, sea mist or a rough sea prohibits us from operating during those periods. If in doubt, please contact us before you travel to our location.

We accept returns for unwanted goods. They must be sent back within 30 days with original packaging and un-used. Please return using a Royal Mail postal service.

If you have booked a lesson (kayak or paddleboard) or any group activity that can no longer go ahead due to bad weather we will offer to either;

a) Re-schedule your activity for a later suitable date.

b) Offer you the same activity at a different location.

c) Offer a refund.

No you don't - We DO NOT take advance bookings for general paddleboard or kayak hire, this is operated on a 'first come, first served basis' and you may have
to wait a period of time for equipment to become available, especially at the height of the summer season.

For both paddleboards and kayaks the hire price of £20 per person, per hour includes all safety equipment, wetsuit (if required), basic instruction and insurance.

Yes it does - if required - depending on your previous experience.

Anyone over 16 yrs will need to provide a valid form of identity such as a driving licence, credit card, student identity card or passport.

Yes we do. Any person under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 years. You must provide one adult over 21 for every one person under 16 years. The minimum age for any hire is 8 years.

Yes. We have on-site changing rooms, lockers and toilet facilities.

For paddleboard and kayak hire we are open every day of the week from 10am - 5.30pm from 1st May to the end of September including bank holidays. For watersports equipment sales our beachfront shop is open all year round excluding Christmas day, Boxing day and New Year's day. From October to April please check our Facebook page for our beachfront shop opening days and times as these may vary.

Sailing, Windsurfing, foiling courses. Holiday clubs, activity days, after school clubs, Saturday clubs, paddlesports lessons and activity clubs.

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to
reserve your booking. Full balance can also be paid at booking stage alternatively
the balance is required 28 days prior to the date of the course.

 

We require 28 days notice if you wish to cancel your position on any of our courses. This enables us to refill the position. We will accept your cancellation after this date, but will not refund any payment after this date unless we have refilled your postion or booking.

In the unlikely situation where we need to cancel, (which is
normally beyond our control) we need to cancel the booking or course then full
refund will be issued.

 

If a booking is within 28 days of the start date of the course
the full fee is required.

 

If within 28 days prior to the course the balance has not been
paid then, then Brighton Watersports reserves the right to cancel the booking
and the deposit will not be refunded.

 

 

Disputes or complaints

If you are dissatisfied with the service and/or
facilities provided by us you shall, in the first instance, verbally explain
the cause of your dissatisfaction to your Instructor. He/she will endeavour to
solve the dispute. Should their solution be unacceptable to you the matter
should be discussed with the Principal/Manager as soon as reasonably practical,
either in person or via email. Your conversation will always be confidential.

We have FREE shipping for most items. If the Item is very large or very heavy there may be a surcharge.
